Brendon Jensen

It is with broken hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Brendon Jensen, who left us far too soon on July 22nd, 2025 at the age of 37. Born January 12th, 1988 in St. Louis Park, MN. Brendon was truly one of a kind—the life of every party, who brought the laughter, the music, and the energy wherever he went. His sense of humor was unmatched, and his presence lit up every room. He had a gift for making people laugh, and was always living in the moment. Those who knew Brendon knew his deep love for music and his playful, magnetic spirit. He could turn the dullest moment into a memory, and life with him —especially the time spent living together as family— was filled with laughter, joy, and connection. We will cherish those memories forever. Outside of work and friends, Brendon spent his days loving his pup Chili, gaming with his long-distance friends, wearing purple and talking Vikings football, and vibing to his favorite music. He wasn’t just our brother, son, uncle, and friend—he was our sunshine on cloudy days. There’s a space now that can never be filled, but we find comfort knowing he’s at peace, probably cracking jokes in heaven and dancing to his favorite tunes. We promise to live by his word and keep “livin’ the dream” while remembering “it’s really no bigs”. Brendon is survived by his parents, Tami (Paul) Kays and Jim Olson, his siblings Lynna Jensen, Taryn Ellefson, Brent (Kayla) Kays, and Chad(Cassandra) Kays. He will forever hold the title of Fun Uncle to Kaelyn Chambers, Letty Kays, Thea Kays, and Leo Kays. A sunset send-off celebration honoring the life he loved will be held on the beach in front of Beach Avenue, Imperial Beach, CA on August 9th, 2025 from 6pm – 8pm. An additional celebration will be held on August 23rd, 2025 at Running Aces Hotel (15215 Running Aces Blvd, Columbus, MN 55025) from 3:00pm-7:00pm. We welcome anyone to wear purple to honor Brendon’s love for the MN Vikings. In lieu of flowers, we ask donations be made in Brendon Jensen’s name to non-profit organizations supporting music programs or your local animal shelter
