Dillon Lee Norwood

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dillon Lee Norwood, who left us to be home with our Lord on March 7, 2026 at the young age of 34. Dillon was born on October 17, 1991 in Brawley, California and from the very beginning brought light and love into the lives of those around him. He grew up in South Bay, San Diego and was known for his unique personality, qualities and interests. He is survived by his loving Mother, Rhonda Sue Karr; Life Partner; Caitlin Lee Harvey, Grandmother, Shirley Faye Gompf; Sister, Donnetta Norwood; Sister Tiffany Faye Karr; Aunt, Arlene Norwood; Aunt Barbara Lynn Pretorius; Aunt, Carla Johnson; Uncle, Donny Johnson; Uncle, Jay Norwood; Uncle, Robert Allen Bospflug; Niece, Anamakayla Diaz; Nephew, Leland Norwood; Nephew, Noah Lee Karr and multiple Cousins. He was preceded in death by his loving Father, Michael Wayne Norwood; Grandfather, Lee Norwood; Grandfather, William Robert Bospflug; Grandmother, Margeret "Peggy" Parkerson; Uncle Ricky Norwood and Nephew, Isaiah Christian Diaz. Dillon wore a coat of many colors, which was reflected in the interwoven tapestry of his life. He had multiple hobbies and interests; He was an avid reader with a passion for learning new ideas and concepts. He loved watching Anime, being creative as a Tattoo Artist and riding his motorcycle. He had a heart of gold that touched many lives through his family, friendships, community clubs and organizations. He will be remembered for his "Bigger than Life" outlook, integrity, loyalty, strong work ethics and commitment to all those he held dear to his heart. Those who knew him, will forever cherish memories of his family relationships, friendships, colleagues and brotherhoods. A viewing will be held at 11:00 am through 1:00 pm and the memorial service will begin at 1: 00 pm, on April 11, 2026, at The Church of Christ, 640 10th Street, Imperial Beach, CA 91932 A Celebration of Life will follow the memorial service from 4:00-8:00 pm, at The Joya Kitchen, 10275 Science Center Drive, San Diego, CA 92121, where family and friends are invited to gather together for food and fellowship in memory of Dillon's life and legacy.
