Karen Irene Ogden, born on May 3, 1953, will be forever cherished as a beautiful, sociable, and generous woman whose warmth and kindness touched every life she encountered. On February 24, 2026, at 4:44 a.m., Karen passed away, surrounded by the family she so dearly loved. Her legacy is one of deep love, unwavering devotion, and steadfast faith. Karen’s journey through life was marked by an enduring partnership with her beloved husband, whom she met at Sweetwater High School. Together, they celebrated 50 years of strong and loving marriage, building a life rooted in family, commitment, laughter, and mutual support. Nothing brought Karen greater joy than caring for the people she loved. As a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she poured her heart into every role she played. Karen was the proud mother of three children—two daughters and one son—who were the light of her life. Her family continued to grow with four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and she eagerly anticipated the arrival of a fifth great-grandchild. Karen found happiness in attending her grandson’s school events, watching her grandchildren play together, and being present for every milestone, big or small. Karen’s beautiful spirit made everyone feel welcome and cared for. She gave generously of her time, love, and heart, ensuring her family always knew how deeply they were cherished. Her devotion extended beyond her immediate family, touching friends and community members who were fortunate enough to know her. While the loss of Karen leaves our hearts heavy, we find comfort in knowing that she is at peace, embraced by the Lord in whom she placed her trust. Her love and guidance will continue to inspire and support her family for generations to come. The community is warmly invited to join in celebrating Karen’s remarkable life and legacy. Please gather with us on March 12, 2026, from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. at The Church of Christ, 640 Tenth Street, Imperial Beach, CA 91932, as we honor and remember the extraordinary woman who meant so much to so many. The first hour will be a live viewing with service and reception to follow. Karen will be laid to rest the following morning at Glen Abbey Memorial Park.
