In Loving Memory of Jeremy Michael Valencia July 5, 1990 – May 10, 2025 With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Jeremy Michael Valencia, who left us far too soon at the age of 34 on May 10, 2025, in San Diego, California. Born in Riverside and raised in San Marcos and San Diego, Jeremy's life was a vibrant journey filled with love, adventure, and unforgettable memories. From a young age, Jeremy’s deep appreciation for the outdoors and his unquenchable thirst for adventure shaped the man he would become. Whether carving down snow-covered mountains on his snowboard, riding his motorcycle along scenic roads, or traveling across the country to connect with loved ones, Jeremy lived fully and fearlessly. His adventures took him from the beaches of Hawaii to the forests of South Carolina, and from the bright lights of Las Vegas to the peaks of Big Bear and the rugged beauty of Zion National Park, where he proudly completed the Narrows hike — a personal milestone. Jeremy graduated from Mar Vista High School in San Diego before spending time in Arkansas with his uncles and cousins, where his adventurous spirit continued to grow. Later, while living in Arizona, he pursued and completed his studies at the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute — a clever response to his mother’s reluctance about his love of riding. His mechanical talents ultimately served his greatest passion: the freedom of riding and maintaining his own motorcycle. It was on two wheels that Jeremy found joy, freedom, and a strong community that embraced him as one of their own. Professionally, Jeremy was a hands-on, hardworking individual. He began in flooring, moved into cabinet work, and more recently focused on growing within the construction field, working toward becoming a licensed contractor. Yet, no matter how busy life became, Jeremy always made time for the things that brought him joy — surfing with friends, paintballing with precision, jet skiing at the beach, or simply sharing a laugh with those he loved. Family was everything to Jeremy. He is survived by his loving mother, Brandy Papas, and his stepfather, Joey Sullivan; his father, Joel Valencia; his cherished sisters, Eden and Destiny; and his Godson, Lopaka Palani. Jeremy became a big brother at a young age and took great pride in his role. When Destiny joined the family, he welcomed her with open arms, sharing his hobbies and heart with her, just as he did with all who entered his life. Jeremy had an extraordinary way of turning ordinary moments into adventures. His vibrant energy, quick laughter, and boundless kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was the kind of person you could always count on — a loyal son, a devoted brother, a loving friend. Though his time with us was brief, the impact he made was immeasurable. A private memorial service will be held on Friday to celebrate Jeremy’s life, his indomitable spirit, and the countless memories he created along the way. He may have ridden into the sunset, but Jeremy’s spirit — bold, kind, and forever free — lives on in the hearts of all who loved him.
